"content": "Shipping Last updated 14 September 2026. We are glad to bring our customers exceptional value and service. Where we deliver We deliver across Canada. Delivery times are the same wherever you are in the country: 5 to 7 days once your order has been handled, though remote and northern addresses can take a little longer. The checkout also accepts addresses outside Canada at the same delivery rates; allow 7 to 10 days, and any customs duties or import charges on arrival are yours. What delivery costs Standard delivery is free on orders of $60 or more. Below that a flat $22 delivery charge applies. The charge is shown in your basket before you pay, so there is nothing added at the last step. You can also choose express delivery in the basket for $22. Express is a paid upgrade, so that charge applies to every express order, including orders that would otherwise qualify for free standard delivery. Pick whichever suits you at checkout. Our current delivery times Orders are handled and processed within 24 to 48 hours. Delivery then takes 5 to 7 days. Allow about a week from placing your order to it arriving. Tracking information You will receive an email with a tracking number once your order is shipped. We only receive the tracking code once the parcel has been collected, so there is nothing to send you before then. Enter the number on our order tracking page to follow it. Separate parcels For logistical reasons, items in the same purchase may be sent in separate packages and may arrive on different days. If you have received part of an order and are unsure about the rest, email us and we will check it for you. If your order does not arrive If your order has not arrived within 30 days of the delivery date we gave you, email us and we will trace it, replace it or refund it. Provincial consumer protection law can also give you a right to cancel an online order that is not delivered in that time, and nothing here limits it. Questions before you order If you have any other questions, or need an order by a particular date, email us at theteam@chaincurtain.net before you buy and we will do our best to assist.",

"summary": "15 days from purchase to return an unopened item in its original packaging under the shop's own policy (Canada has no general cooling-off right for an online purchase). The buyer's rights under provincial consumer protection legislation apply to everything sold: faulty, damaged or misdescribed goods are put right at no cost.",
"content": "Refunds & Returns Last updated 14 September 2026. This policy sets out how returns work when you buy from us in Canada. It describes how this shop works in plain English and is not legal advice. 15 days to change your mind Our products can be returned within 15 days of the original purchase, for any reason. This is our own published policy: Canada has no general cooling-off period for an online purchase, and we offer one because we would rather you ordered with confidence. To start a return, email us at theteam@chaincurtain.net with your order number. To be eligible, the product must have been purchased from this website in the last 15 days, be unopened in its original packaging, and come back with your receipt, order confirmation or other proof of purchase from this website. Items must be shipped back to the warehouse your package originated from, at your cost, unless the item is faulty. We refund the price you paid for the goods, back to the payment method you used (your card or PayPal account), or held as credit against a future order if you would rather. Your right to cancel an online order Separately from the 15 days above, the consumer protection and sale of goods legislation of your province or territory gives you a right to cancel an internet or distance purchase in particular circumstances, for example where we did not give you the information the law requires before you ordered, or where your order does not arrive within 30 days of the delivery date we gave you. Nothing on this page limits those rights. Nothing we sell is made to order Everything we sell is a standard stock item. The chain curtain comes in one size, 90cm by 210cm, in black or silver, and nothing is cut, altered or built to your measurement, so the change-of-mind window above covers it exactly as it covers the swatters and the zapper. Faulty, damaged or incorrect items This part applies to everything we sell, and nothing above affects it. Under the consumer protection and sale of goods legislation of your province or territory, the goods we sell you must be of merchantable quality, reasonably fit for the purpose they are sold for, and match how we described them. If your order arrives faulty, damaged or not as described, contact us and we will put it right at no cost to you: a repair, a replacement or a refund. We cover the cost of returning a faulty item. Damaged in transit If you receive a damaged product, please notify us immediately. Email us with your order number and a photograph of the packaging and the item, and we will arrange a replacement or a refund and cover the return postage. Photographs help us take it up with the courier, so they speed things along, but they are not a condition of your rights. Items missing or the wrong thing sent Tell us and we will fix it. If the parcel never arrives, or arrives with parts missing, or contains something you did not order, that is on us to resolve and it costs you nothing. How to return something Email theteam@chaincurtain.net with your order number and a short note about what you would like to do. We will reply with the return address and confirm who pays the postage in your case. Please contact us before sending anything back: items must go back to the warehouse your order shipped from, so this makes sure the return reaches the right place and is credited to your order. Your refund will be processed 24 to 48 hours after receipt of the returned item. Payment providers usually take a few further working days to show the money back on your statement. We are unable to accept returns of purchases made from third-party retailers. Products that do not meet the conditions above will not be considered for a change-of-mind return; faulty, damaged or incorrect items are always covered. Cancelling before dispatch All orders can be cancelled until they are shipped, at no charge. If your order has been paid and you need to change or cancel it, contact us within 12 hours: most orders are packed within 24 to 48 hours, and once the packaging and shipping process has started an order can no longer be cancelled, though it can still be returned under the policy above. If something goes wrong Customer support is available by email at theteam@chaincurtain.net . We do our very best to respond to support emails within 48 hours. If you are unhappy with how we have handled a return, say so in your email and a person will look at it again from the start; our complaints handling policy explains what happens next. Your rights under the consumer protection and sale of goods legislation of your province or territory are not affected by anything on this page.",

"content": "Privacy Policy Last updated 14 September 2026. Chain Curtain Company (a division of Caruso Consulting Co Ltd, \"we\", \"us\" or \"our\") is committed to providing quality services to you, and this policy outlines our ongoing obligations to you in respect of how we manage your personal information when you visit chaincurtain.net or buy from us. We handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and its fair information principles, and with British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act where that applies. Those principles govern how we collect, use, disclose, store, secure and dispose of your personal information. You can read about them on the website of the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca . If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact us any time at theteam@chaincurtain.net . What is personal information and why do we collect it? Personal information is information about an identifiable individual. Examples of the personal information we collect include your name, delivery and billing address, email address and phone number, collected when you place an order or contact support. Payment information is handled securely by our payment processors, Stripe and PayPal; we do not store your full card details on our servers. We collect your personal information for the primary purpose of providing our products and services to you, and to conduct the general operation of our business: to service you as a customer, and to maintain the bookkeeping and accounting records required for tax purposes. We may also use your personal information for secondary purposes closely related to the primary purpose, in circumstances where you would reasonably expect such use. You may unsubscribe from our mailing or marketing lists at any time by contacting us in writing. When we collect personal information we will, where appropriate and where possible, explain to you why we are collecting the information and how we plan to use it. By placing an order you consent to the uses needed to complete it; marketing is only sent with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. Information collected automatically, cookies and analytics When you use the site we may collect your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed and referring site, through cookies and similar technologies. Essential cookies keep the site working, including your basket. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) help us understand how the site is used, and advertising cookies (Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising) measure whether our advertising works. Non-essential cookies are only set if you accept them through our cookie banner. See our cookie policy . Third parties Where reasonable and practicable to do so, we will collect your personal information only from you. However, in some circumstances we may be provided with information by third parties, in which case we will take reasonable steps to ensure that you are made aware of the information provided to us by the third party. Links taking you away from this website are not subject to our practices or policies. Disclosure of personal information We do not sell, trade or rent your details to others. We share data only as needed to operate the store: with our payment processors, delivery couriers, the provider that sends our order emails, and the analytics and advertising providers named above, who are required to protect it and use it only for the services they provide to us. Some of these providers process and store information outside Canada, where it may be accessible to the authorities of that country under its laws. Your personal information may otherwise be disclosed where we are required or authorised by law to do so. Security of personal information All confidential information received for the purpose of processing an order is electronically stored on a secure, password-protected system. All information received on this website is SSL secured and encrypted. Your personal information is stored in a manner that reasonably protects it from misuse and loss and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. When your personal information is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was obtained, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify it. However, most order records are kept by us for a minimum of 7 years to meet our legal and accounting obligations. Access to your personal information You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to update or correct it, subject to certain exceptions. If you wish to access your personal information, please contact us in writing at theteam@chaincurtain.net . We will not charge any fee for your access request. In order to protect your personal information we may require identification from you before releasing the requested information. Maintaining the quality of your personal information It is important to us that your personal information is up to date. We will take reasonable steps to make sure it is accurate, complete and up to date. If you find that the information we have is not up to date or is inaccurate, please advise us as soon as practicable so we can update our records. Complaints If you believe we have handled your personal information in a way that breaches these principles, contact us first at theteam@chaincurtain.net and we will investigate and respond. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca , or to the privacy commissioner of your province where provincial privacy law applies.
