Terms & Conditions
Last updated 14 September 2026. These terms describe how this shop works in plain English and are not legal advice.
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of chaincurtain.net and any purchase you make from Chain Curtain Company (a division of Caruso Consulting Co Ltd, "we", "us" or "our"). By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
Definitions
Seller refers to Chain Curtain Company, the website owner to whom an order for purchase is given. Buyer refers to the person or organisation placing the order. Goods refers to the product(s) the buyer has ordered from the seller.
Use of the website
You may use our website for lawful purposes only. By accessing the site you agree that you will not:
- Use the site in any way that breaches applicable laws or regulations.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, or interfere with the site's operation or security.
- Copy, reproduce or redistribute our content (text, images, branding and design) without our written permission.
- Submit false information or impersonate any person or entity.
All content on this website, including the Chain Curtain Company name, product imagery and copy, is our property or that of our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.
Products and descriptions
We take care to describe our products accurately, including materials and dimensions. Product photos are for illustration, and slight variation in colour and finish can occur between production batches.
Pricing
All prices are shown in Canadian dollars. No sales tax is added at checkout, so the price you see on the product page is the price you pay for the goods; delivery, where it applies, is shown separately in your basket before you pay. We make every effort to ensure prices are correct at the time of publishing. If we discover an error in the price of an order you have placed, we will contact you to confirm whether you wish to proceed at the correct price before dispatching.
Ordering and payment
- Payment. All payments are due on completion of the order. If a payment is not received or the payment method is declined, the order is not placed and no items are shipped. We accept credit and debit cards through Stripe, and PayPal. Payment runs on an encrypted connection and we never see or store your full card details.
- Order processing. Once your payment has cleared, orders are usually fulfilled within 2 working days.
- Contacting us. You can email us 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and we reply as soon as we can, usually within one business day.
- Delivery times. For the full detail see our shipping page.
Orders and purchase terms
- Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase. A contract is formed once we confirm and dispatch your order.
- We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order, for example where stock is unavailable or where we suspect fraud. If we cancel an order you have paid for, we will issue a full refund.
- You are responsible for providing accurate delivery and contact details. We are not liable for delays or failed deliveries caused by incorrect information.
Shipping
Delivery is charged at the rate shown in your basket at the time of purchase, and is free on orders over $60. If an item is lost in transit, the total cost of the item including delivery is refunded to you. Full detail is on our shipping page, which forms part of these terms.
Returns and cancellations
You may return an item within 15 days of purchase under our own returns policy, and you may cancel an order at any time until it is shipped. Your rights under the consumer protection and sale of goods legislation of your province or territory for faulty, damaged or misdescribed goods, and any statutory right to cancel an internet sale, apply to everything we sell and are not limited by these terms. The full conditions are on our refunds and returns page, which forms part of these terms.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Our total liability arising from any order is limited to the amount you paid for the products in that order.
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for loss of profit, data or opportunity.
- We provide the website "as is" and do not guarantee it will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the consumer protection and sale of goods legislation of your province or territory, the federal Competition Act, or any other law that cannot be excluded by agreement, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Where the law of your province does not allow a limitation above, that limitation does not apply to you. See also our limited liability indemnity.
Complaints
Any complaint about items or the seller should be submitted to our support team by email. Each case is looked at individually and we will be in contact. Our complaints handling policy sets out what to expect.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If you are a consumer living in another province or territory, you keep the protection of that province's consumer law and your right to bring a claim in its courts; a dispute of this size would usually go to your local small claims court or tribunal.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time you place an order is the version that applies to that order.
